General Overview

What is wireless service?
This technology uses radios to send data between the distribution point and a client system. The radio is programmed by the ISP and is not programmable by the end user without the proprietary configuration cable. This helps to ensure the security of the Wireless network. When the equipment is installed and configured, your computer is connected to the Internet immediately upon start up. Since there is no need to "dial in," you eliminate the inconvenience of tying up your telephone line or purchasing a second line specifically for Internet connection.

Exactly how fast is a wireless connection?
As of January 2012, Innernet is offering service configurations that can yield download speeds as high as 6Mbps, which is more than 200 times faster than a standard analog dial-up connection.

Is it available to all homes/businesses?
No. The installation site must be in the coverage area. This will be determined by a site survey.

Why is wireless a better connection than other ones?
The three main reasons this type of service stands above others is:
»» The speeds that can be reached are much higher than most others.
»» The monthly cost is much cheaper for a connection of the same speed.
»» Since this is a wireless link there is no need for cable or phone service.
Most customers will be able to do away with a second phone line thus save the monthly cost of that line.

How secure is wireless service?
There are three levels of security as compared to a dial-up connection, which has only one.

Does it affect my phone or cable service?
No. This service has no affect or associates the phone or cable services.

Will my connection speed be affected by other wireless subscribers (traffic)?
No. The way this service is to be deployed is to assure that a customer gets the full amount of bandwidth they are signed us for.

Will I be affected during storms, blizzards, sunspots etc.?
As a general rule this technology is not affected by such atmospheric condition, but it can not be said that there is never a chance of a problem occurring if mother nature gets angry enough.

Installation Procedures

Do I need to install any phone lines?
No. The connection is made via a wireless link similar to the way a cordless phone works but with a much greater range.

What is the process for installing this service?
There are three steps in the process.
»» We will need to perform a site survey to determine if a wireless link can be achieved.
»» Customer will need to decide on how much bandwidth (overall speed) they would like. Currently the available speeds are 512K, 1MB, 2MB, 3MB, 5MB, 6MB.
»» The customer side equipment will be provided and installed/configured by us. NOTE: The equipment must be purchased from Innernet, Inc.

How long does it take to install?
Installation will vary from install to install but on average an install should be approximately 2hrs.
